Opportunity to join the BT Advice Technical business

**How will I help?**
BT Financial Group (BT) is the wealth management arm of the Westpac Group. The BT Advice Technical team is responsible for educating and supporting financial advisers and businesses that support the BT Platform offering, through the delivery of educational webinars to advisers (virtual and face to face), through the provision of a telephone hotline service for adviser queries on clients strategies, as well as through the publication of a range of written materials.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Literacy & Advocacy, the purpose of this role is to deliver high quality technical support to advisers that support the BT Platform offering via the BT Advice Technical Service hotline, publications, and presentations. The objective of this role is to ensure that key regulatory, technical, and legislative information is made available to advisers in a timely manner and in a way that is easy to understand.
Additional responsibilities include the following:
- Ensure that all of our Technical material is up to date, easy to understand and innovative
- Develop technical content for financial planner publications (including Technical Bulletins/Updates, Strategy Papers, TECHknow and pocket/reference guides)
- Participate in technical training sessions for advisers through various forums, including Professional Development Days
- Contribute to the development of a suite of presentation and supporting materials in a number of technical areas (including, but not limited to, superannuation, taxation, social security, estate planning and insurance)
- Provide high quality support to our adviser network via the BT Advice Technical Services phone line
- Liaise with other business units to ensure the delivery of timely, accurate and quality advice Act as a key contact with Marketing to ensure other collateral material is maintained and up-to-date for all technical references

**What do I need?**
To be successful you will have the following:
- Experience in a technical role within wealth/financial planning sector
- Understanding of financial planning industry and processes
- Tertiary qualifications in a business related discipline
- Qualifications in a financial planning related discipline
- Superior communication skills
- Understanding of current Superannuation including technical, regulatory and legislative information ideal Strong presentation and influencing skills
