Job Title: Fruit and Vegetable Department Leader
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to lead our fruit and vegetable department. As a department leader, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the department, including inventory management, customer service, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the inventory of fresh produce, ensuring that products are rotated regularly and expired items are removed in a timely manner.
* Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction, including maintaining a clean and organized store environment and providing exceptional customer service.
* Lead and motivate a team of sales associates, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and meet sales targets.
* Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and promote cross-selling opportunities.
* Monitor and control department expenses, achieving cost savings through efficient use of resources.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a retail or food service environment.
* Strong knowledge of fresh produce and ability to maintain high standards of product quality and presentation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
* Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
* Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25 kg) and stand for long periods.
