Gorilla Jobs is seeking a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist (VMO Locum) to support Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services across Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD).
This role offers a mix of inpatient and community work within an established specialist team, with rates of $3,000+ per day
You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team providing assessment, review and ongoing management for children and young people with moderate to severe mental health presentations.
* Contract period: From March to end of May
* Roster: Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:00
* On-call: Required on a pro-rata basis
* ECT experience: Desirable and well-regarded
This role is well suited to a Consultant Psychiatrist with C&A experience who is looking for steady weekday work in a major metropolitan service.
Clinical Environment:
* Inpatient and/or community caseload, depending on service needs and your experience
* Care planning, risk assessment and coordination with families, schools and other services
* Participation in MDT meetings, case conferences and clinical discussions
* Supervision and support for junior medical staff and other team members (where appropriate)
* On-call input as rostered, on a pro-rata basis
Eligibility Criteria:
* Specialist Registration with AHPRA in Psychiatry
* Recognised Child & Adolescent Psychiatry experience
* Prior work in inpatient and/or community CAMHS highly regarded
* Australian working rights
* Willingness to complete WSLHD/NSW Health credentialing and compliance requirements
