About The Role
As a Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing the lives of people with disabilities and young individuals by providing tailored, person-centred support. Whether it’s daily living assistance, emotional guidance, or community engagement, your work will help create a more inclusive and compassionate society.
You’ll work across a 24/7 rotating roster, including sleepovers, active nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality, individualised support to people with disabilities and young people
* Assist with personal care, mobility, and skill development
* Build meaningful connections and provide mentorship and emotional support
* Support community participation and recreational activities
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement support plans
* Advocate for customer rights and promote independence
* Create safe, trauma-informed environments for young people with complex needs
What You’ll Need Disability, Home & Living
* Experience in disability, aged care, or family/community services
* A current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain
* Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
* NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills
* Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays
What You’ll Need Childrens Services
* Passionate about human rights and creating positive change
* Empathetic, compassionate, and resilient
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Certificate IV in Disability or Child, Youth & Family Intervention (or willingness to obtain) click here to view more details
