The Team
The Clinical Systems Improvement (CSI) team within the Clinical Excellence and Innovation division supports safe, high‐quality care across Tasmania by administering and improving statewide quality and safety systems. The team works closely with clinicians, managers, quality and safety staff, consumers and external vendors to ensure systems are reliable, user‐centred and support clinical governance, learning and continuous improvement across the Department of Health.
The Role
The Quality and Safety Systems Officer supports the effective operation and ongoing improvement of quality and safety information systems used across the Department of Health. The role provides system administration and user support, including access management, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, reporting and data quality activities. Working collaboratively with stakeholders, the position contributes to system enhancements, documentation, training resources and quality improvement activities that support patient safety and service improvement.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated knowledge, participation and experience in undertaking quality activities within a healthcare setting, with the ability to identify and develop relevant projects, programs and policies.
* Knowledge and understanding of various applications pertaining to quality management systems within a healthcare setting, including demonstrated experience and skills with advanced Microsoft Excel.
* Well‐developed interpersonal, communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills including the demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff, and effectively liaise with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including consumers, in the development and implementation of quality improvement projects.
Salary
$98,255 to $103,069 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Agreement Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.

Employment Details
Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.
