Location: This role is based in Parramatta. Flexible and hybrid working options available. Clerk Grade: Level 5/6. Base salary $99,938 p.a. to $110,271 p.a. plus 12% superannuation and annual leave loading. About The Team The Information and Technology team delivers secure, modern, and efficient digital services by maintaining robust technological infrastructure, developing and supporting critical business applications, and leading strategic technology initiatives aligned with the organisation’s objectives. About The Role The Information Governance Specialist provides information governance advice to support the organisation to achieve and maintain compliance with relevant Information Management (IM) obligations issued under the NSW State Records Act and other legislative requirements. The role supports the Senior Information Governance Specialist to implement the IM strategy through collaboration with key divisional stakeholders to ensure information is managed effectively and securely. This Is An Exciting Opportunity That Will See You Assist in supporting the information retention and disposal program for NSWTG, including managing approvals with Divisions. Assist in designing and mapping Divisional folder structures within M365 applications and content management to the correct retention schedules. Support the IM Compliance Monitoring Program, by leading audits and reviews of information management processes (such as State Records NSW, Records Monitoring Exercise) with relevant Divisions. Develop resources including local business rules and deliver high-quality training to build IM organisational capability that improves NSWTG’s compliance maturity. Assist in designing and delivering new Divisional procedural IM training, including the development of supporting resources. For more information about the position, view the role description. About You Application is encouraged if you demonstrate the following skills, knowledge and experience: A strong understanding of information management and governance frameworks, including experience applying the NSW State Records Act, retention and disposal authorities, and related legislative and regulatory obligations. Experience implementing information management practices across complex organisations, including supporting retention and disposal programs, advising stakeholders, and contributing to compliance monitoring activities. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build strong relationships, translate technical IM concepts into practical guidance, and influence behavioural change. Strong organisational and time‑management abilities, including the capacity to balance multiple priorities, manage deadlines, and deliver quality work in a fast‑paced environment. Sound like you?
