About You
We are searching for an organised, enthusiastic and talented junior fashion designer to join our team. This role is suitable for new graduates and will include responsibility for creating garment tech packs and range boards, as well as placement and yardage prints. This is a varied role where you will learn many aspects of the business. The desired candidate will have the ability to design from briefs efficiently and have the creative ability to contribute to our design team.
A day in the life
As a Junior Fashion Designer you will be responsible for:
* Garment CAD sketching & tech pack creation
* Yardage & placement prints
* Range board creation and upkeep
* Packaging and label design for apparel and accessories
* Apparel and accessories design concepts and ideas
* Contribute to trend research
* General filing and sample upkeep
An ideal addition to the #GhandaGang will have
* Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop
* Relevant tertiary qualifications
* A strong interest in the fashion industry
* An exceptional eye for design and creative detail
* Demonstrated competency with the Microsoft Office Suite
* Comprehensive understanding of current trends in fashion and social media
* Exceptional organisational and time management skills
* Can-do attitude & willingness to learn and work with others
