About The Role
As the Senior Project Officer within the Readiness, Policy and Plans branch, you will manage and coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of complex projects and work with a high level of autonomy to delivery work assignments and projects on time.
This role involves managing consultations and negotiations with a wide range of stakeholders, balancing diverse expectations, viewpoints, and interests within agreed timelines. It also requires ensuring project deadlines and milestones are met to the highest standards and within budget, while coordinating and delivering multiple complex and interconnected projects simultaneously.

We are seeking an experienced project and stakeholder engagement professional to enable and support our recovery partnerships.
Your Experience
* Project management and evaluation.
* Stakeholder collaboration and engagement
* Disaster management and recovery operations (desirable)
You Can Demonstrate
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* High level project management experience.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision and balance competing priorities within a fast-paced environment.
* Organised and efficient working style.
* Passion for supporting the communities of NSW.
Technical And Soft Skills
* Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support evidence-based decision-making.
* Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to influence outcomes and build partnerships.
Essential Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant knowledge and experience (emergency management and disaster recovery preferred).
* Sound understanding of current emergency management and disaster recovery arrangements, including Natural Disaster Declarations in the NSW context.

About The Agency
The NSW Reconstruction Authority is a statutory corporation and executive agency of the Premier's Department, that will improve how NSW plans for disasters and ensure that we recover from them faster.
To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the NSW Reconstruction Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, businesses and government. When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities and other stakeholders.
