We are seeking an experienced NDT Level 3 Inspector to join our Albury team and play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of product integrity, quality, and compliance.
About The Role
Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you will oversee the safe, efficient operation of all NDT functions within the Albury facility. You will also work closely with the Quality Manager on all matters relating to compliance and accreditation.
You will support both manufacturing operations and customer accreditation requirements across NADCAP, NATA and AS9100/AS13100. This is a senior technical position suited to someone who is confident, precise, and committed to excellence.
Key Responsibilities Include
Planning and prioritising NDT tasks across production, despatch and customer requirementsInterpreting drawings, standards and specifications to ensure complianceMaintaining customer and third-party accreditations (NADCAP, NATA, AS9100/AS13100)Managing NDT equipment, facilities and Inspection systemsDeveloping and maintaining work instructions and operating proceduresPreparing and closing non-conformance reports and leading investigationsLeading quality audits for the Albury sitePreparing accurate test certificates in a timely mannerPerforming Level 2 technician duties (UT, PT, VT, MT) as requiredProviding support across NDT and inspection functionsPreparing business cases for new NDT/inspection equipmentManaging external service providers

Essential Qualifications & Experience
Volumetric & surface NDT Level III - ISO 9712 or equivalentNAS410 UT Level 3Emersion Tank qualifiedTertiary education in Metallurgy or similar discipline (preferred)Minimum 5 years' testing experience, ideally within metals manufacturingExperience working within ISO 9001, AS9100/AS13100, NADCAP, NATA and ISO 17025 environments
Key Competencies:
Detail-focused with strong analytical skillsAble to interpret engineering drawings and specificationsAdvanced knowledge of NDT equipment, systems and processesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to lead investigations and drive continuous improvementCapable of managing capital and improvement projects
