Overview
The Business Reporting Analyst will contribute to the ongoing development of Insurance Services reporting framework, provide reporting on analysis and recommendations of the performance reporting framework to drive a continuous improvement culture, and support the strategic change initiatives to support data driven decision making. This to be completed through owning and maintaining a robust reporting suite for Insurance Services, analyse data to identify key trends, articulate insights and provide data driven recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Strategic Focus
* Support the uplift of the Insurance Services reporting framework.
* Contribute to the design and implementation of systems and processes to improve service delivery.
* Conduct research and benchmarking to identify improvement opportunities.
* Support leadership with integrated workforce, project and change planning.
* Participate in Post Implementation Reviews and track value realisation.
* Ensure customer solutions meet requirements, timelines and quality standards.
Operational Management
* Design, develop and maintain operational workflow tools and reporting.
* Prepare and present high-quality reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
* Consolidate and track complex operational data from multiple sources.
* Analyse and interpret data to identify trends and performance insights.
* Translate data into clear, actionable recommendations.
* Provide technical expertise to resolve complex enquiries and enhance client experience.
* Collaborate with peers to manage reporting enquiries in line with SLAs, business rules and frameworks.
Governance & Risk
* Ensure compliance with legislative, financial, policy, procedural and OH&S requirements.
* Maintain awareness of regulatory changes within the Superannuation and Insurance landscape.
* Role model strong risk and compliance practices across the team.
* Foster a proactive risk and compliance culture and meet all reporting and assurance obligations.
Experience & Personal Attributes
* 3 Years of experience in business reporting, data analytics or insight-focused roles.
* Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).
* Working knowledge of SQL and relational data modelling (preferred).
* Exposure to data platforms such as Snowflake and ThoughtSpot (desirable).
* Strong attention to detail, organisation and planning skills, with the ability to manage deadlines.
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to non-technical audiences.
* Ability to interpret data to support business management, process improvement and service delivery.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
* Proven capability to manage competing priorities and multiple tasks.
* Proactive in identifying risks, issues and barriers, and recommending practical solutions.
* Continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on risk management, efficiency and business improvement.
* Superannuation industry knowledge desirable but not essential.
* Commercially minded, risk-aware and outcome-focused.
