About the Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a Production Engineer to join our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia. This site-based role reports to the Senior Production Engineer and operates on an 8:6 roster.
Your focus will be on designing, planning, and overseeing drilling and blasting to optimise safety and productivity in underground mining.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Designing and issuing drill, charge, and re-drill plans to optimise underground production.
* Ensuring compliance with rig specifications and maintaining accurate, up-to-date digital plans.
* Monitoring drilling progress, performance, and production reconciliations.
* Overseeing quality control through inspections, survey mark-up checks, and QAQC of charging practices.
* Maintaining production tracking systems.
* Collaborating closely with operations supervisors and technical services teams to support safe, efficient mining.
About You
Our ideal candidate will have some post-graduation experience in a mining environment, including exposure to underground mechanised mining.
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:
* A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
* An understanding of underground mining practices, ideally including longhole stoping.
* Some knowledge of production drilling rigs, charging systems, and modern underground firing practices.
* Exposure to ring design software.
* A current C-class manual driver's licence.
