About this key role: A temporary TO2 Science Technician is required to provide scientific support and apply chemical techniques for the rapid quantification of insecticide residues.
This position involves maintaining, checking and arranging calibration of laboratory equipment according to a quality maintenance schedule. Duties may also include undertaking tasks as directed by the Laboratory Manager and Principal Scientist.
* Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or closely related field
* Previous experience within a laboratory setting
* Experience operating within a Laboratory Quality Management System is highly desirable
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and be able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
