About the role
Are you a self-motivated pro-active professional with demonstrated experience in managing contracts?
This is an exciting opportunity to manage an IT contract portfolio within the Information Technology Directorate.
This role works collaboratively in partnership with IT Professionals to manage contract governance to meet commercial business needs.
You will work across core business areas, working collaboratively and engagingly with senior stakeholders. This role will be a key point of contract within the team for risk and governance, blended with commercial mindset and advice on contracts.
The Senior IT Contracts Manager builds and manages relationships with vendors that supply IT productsand services to the organisation ensuring that vendors meet or exceed their contractual obligations.
Therole also undertakes the full range of activities associated with the management of IT contracts andagreements. This includes ensuring a cost effective, quality service that is consistent with the Department’sstrategic IT objectives, maintaining information integrity, negotiating changes/modifications and monitoringsupplierperformancetodeliveroutcomesalignedwithstakeholderexpectationsandgovernmentdirections.

Essential requirements of the role
·Tertiaryqualificationsorequivalentindustryexperienceincontractmanagement.
·Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
Key knowledge and experience
·Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s and upholding the and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
·A minimum of 5 years’ experience in government contract management is expected, preferably withinanICT environment.
