Teacher - Primary role at Department of Education, Western Australia. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term, full‑time position commencing Term 1, 2026 with possible extension or permanency.

This recruitment pilot simplifies the application process. A mandatory CV template is attached. Application requires a character‑limited response to only two AITSL domains at the application stage. The remaining domain will be assessed later for shortlisted applicants.

At Kojonup District High School (DHS) we have a proud history and have served our community since 1863. Located on Albany Highway between Perth and Albany, our 220 students enjoy a 480‑acre school farm that forms an integral part of their learning journey. Role

We are seeking a teacher with exceptional interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively and foster genuine relationships with parents, students and colleagues. You will quickly establish a positive, inclusive classroom environment, set high expectations, cultivate a growth mindset and nurture social and emotional development. Your work will be in a high‑performance, high‑care setting where classrooms are well‑presented and equipped. You should be motivated, accountable for best practice, and able to work with whole‑school connected practice, collaborative teams and a commitment to skilled growth. You should have experience in high‑impact teaching strategies, designing literacy and numeracy programmes, differentiating for diverse needs and using assessment tools for progress and feedback.

- hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.

- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
