Job Title: Sustainability Educator
This role is about promoting recycling and waste management practices that will reduce landfill outcomes.
* Educate the public, including school children, on wasteminimisation and recycling.
* Assist in investigating, implementing, and maintaining additional recycling and waste management opportunities.
* Help local businesses and community groups establish and maintain in-house recycling practices.
Key responsibilities include:
Designing, delivering, and evaluating community educational resources for digital and print media.
Building and maintaining relationships with internal departments, external agencies, local businesses, educational institutions, community partners, residents, and visitors.
This part-time position (20 hours per week) has a fixed-term duration of 12 months as parental leave cover.
About You
To be successful in this role, you need to have:
* Knowledge of waste management minimisation principles and practices focusing on waste reduction, recycling, and sustainability.
* Skills in design, delivery, and evaluation of community educational resources and promotional material.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
