About the Role
As a Web Developer at EFZero, you will work across web platforms, APIs, databases, IoT integrations, and AI-assisted workflows that support live building systems and customer-facing dashboards.
You will collaborate with an overseas development team, helping coordinate components, testing, integration, and delivery to ensure scope and technical capability are achieved efficiently.
This role prioritises practical ability, systems thinking, and efficiency over formal qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain modern web applications using React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
* Build and integrate services and REST APIs
* Work with Shopify where eCommerce or customer portals are required
* Integrate and manage databases (including Supabase and Tiger database and more)
* Connect web platforms with IoT devices, sensors, and building systems
* Implement payment gateways and third-party service integrations where required
* Use AI tools and agents to improve development speed, testing, and quality
* Collaborate with overseas developers on component delivery and validation
* Assist with testing, optimisation, and deployment of production systems
* Ensure delivered features meet agreed scope, performance, and reliability standards
Skills & Experience
Essential
* Hands-on experience with:
* React
* JavaScript
* HTML & CSS
* * APIs
* Familiarity with Shopify
* Experience or exposure to databases (Supabase or similar)
* Strong interest in AI-assisted development and automation tools
* Ability to work with remote / overseas development teams
* Clear communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable
* Mobile app development experience
* Exposure to IoT systems or hardware integrations
* Experience with payment gateways
* Basic DevOps, cloud, or deployment experience
Experience & Qualifications
* Ideally 1+ year of practical experience
* Students, self-taught developers, and career switchers encouraged
* No formal qualifications required — capability and ability to use AI tools matters more than credentials.
