Head contract Builder/Developer with more than 20 years of experience delivering housing developments from concept through to completion is seeing an experienced Project Manager.
The company builds medium-density townhouse blocks and is one of the largest in the area for their style of work. The role will be working alongside a talented and cohesive team.
Tasks:
* Develop comprehensive construction project plans, schedules, and budgets.
* Interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
* Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to define project requirements.
* Oversee daily construction activities on-site to ensure adherence to plans and timelines.
* Supervise subcontractors, site crews, and suppliers to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards.
* Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews.
* Prepare project budgets, forecasts, and cost estimates.
* Monitor expenses, control costs, and manage change orders.
* Approve vendor and subcontractor invoices and ensure proper documentation.
* Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams.
* Provide regular progress reports and updates to stakeholders.
* Maintain detailed project documentation, including logs, reports, and records.
To be considered for the position:
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Project Manager for a Head Contractor in Australia.
* Willingness to travel to various job sites across the Hunter/Newcastle areas from time to time, but predominantly an office-based role.
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management.
* Knowledge of NSW construction market and subcontractors.
* Well-presented with strong communication skills
* Current Drivers' Licence
* Ability to work 5 days Monday to Friday in the office.
