Comprehensive diabetes care is provided at the North West Diabetes Centre. This multidisciplinary team comprises healthcare professionals working together to deliver high-quality patient care.
The role of a Nurse Practitioner in this centre involves developing, providing and evaluating clinical/community nursing care for adults, adolescents and children with type 1 and complex type 2 diabetes.
Key responsibilities include improving clinical service outcomes through effective research and quality improvement activities as well as participating in statewide and national research, publication and education in the specialty of diabetes.
To be successful in this role, applicants must have endorsement to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Australia and advanced competence in evidence-based nursing practice in diabetes.
