Estimator

About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator with 2-3 years of relevant experience in structural steel and light steel framing. This role is suited to someone who can independently prepare estimates while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate cost estimates for light gauge steel framing, structural steel fabrication and installation projects
* Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documents
* Perform detailed quantity take-offs using take-off software
* Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
* Assist in preparing and submitting tenders within required timeframes
* Identify cost efficiencies and support value engineering initiatives
* Liaise with internal teams, clients, and suppliers during the tender process
* Maintain estimating records and documentation
* Provide quote opportunities update at sales meeting
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 2-3 years' experience in estimating within structural steel, fabrication, or light steel framing
* Good understanding of fabrication and on-site installation processes
* Solid knowledge of the construction industry
* Ability to read and interpret technical and shop drawings
* Experience with take-off software (highly regarded)
* Experience with CAD software (highly recommended)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating tools
* Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
* Good communication and time management skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
