Senior Civil Engineer - Water

The Opportunity
Join a multidisciplinary water team in Newcastle. Design and review water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, pump stations, and conveyance pipelines. Responsibilities include
* Reviewing design requirements, site investigations, calculations, and modelling
* Overseeing drafting and preparing reports and specifications
* Building strong client relationships and providing solutions onsite and offsite
* Leading and managing multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver practical and economical solutions
About You
We are looking for a candidate with:
* Significant experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or hydraulic and conveyance design
* Knowledge of safety in design, constructability, operational practices, Australian standards and WSAA codes
* Experience managing medium to large engineering design projects under HSEQ systems
* Excellent communication skills, ability to influence, and strong problem‑solving abilities
* Passion for the water sector and ability to work autonomously in a consulting environment
Skills
* Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or closely related field
* Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills
* Proven ability to write successful bids for new and existing clients
* Willingness to travel as required
