J&J Wines is a single vineyard premium wine producer located on the edge of the McLaren Vale township. Our Cellar Door includes a fully covered outdoor deck and fenced lawn area with kids playground. We offer wine tastings, sales and delicious wood oven pizzas and local produce platters all while enjoying the panoramic view of the surrounding hills and vineyard.
We are looking for an experienced, qualified, self driven and passionate cook/bar person to join our team and help us to continue to provide our customers the high quality service and food and wine they are accustomed to.
Experience in hospitality and working with a small team is essential as you will work across other areas of the cellar door which includes bar service and/or wine tastings.
You will prepare and cook selections from our cellar door food menu including our range of wood oven pizzas and local produce platters for groups of up to 50 people.
You will need to maintain daily kitchen clean up and food safety hygiene standards.
You must have recent 2 years min. experience in hospitality and food preparation & service.
Current drivers licence, RSA (SA) and certified food handling & preparation certification with minimum qualification Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery.
Ability to work autonomously if needed and make decisions that are consistent with our core values.
You must be legally allowed to work in Australia.
This role is an ongoing casual role.
Cellar Door operating hours Fri – Sun 11am-4pm.
Kitchen is open Saturday & Sunday 11.30am to 3pm. This role initially working weekends is required, no evening work required.
