Responsibilities
- Safety, Health and Environment: Ensure workforce fully understands and complies with RAMS and Clients' QHSE requirements and relevant policies.
- Be proactive in identifying hazards, developing safety procedures, and encouraging continuous improvement in relation to HSE.
- Ensure that all work is performed by and supervised by holders of the appropriate work licence.
- Assist in identifying hazards, advising on safety procedures, and monitoring work practices to ensure adherence to correct procedures and standards for safety and environmental performance.
- Support the Kolsen Group corporate quality, safety, health, and environmental management systems by:
- Reporting to your Manager or QHSE Manager any situation that could result in harm to a person, the environment or may adversely affect the services we provide our customers.
- Reporting opportunities to improve the quality of service or reduce potential harm to people or the setting.
- Understanding and supporting the annual QHSE objectives.
- To immediately pause or make safe any work condition or activity that could result in immediate harm and notify the responsible line manager and the QHSE adviser or Director.
- Leading and promoting the implementation of the integrated management systems for Quality, Safety, Health and the Environment.
- Operational Performance:
- Execute work in the field
- Provide landscaping and facilities improvement ideas
- Ability to use online tablet/phone app for raising and closing out work orders
- Ensure components are available prior to works commencing
- Ensure toolbox talks and step back 5x5’s are completed
- Liaise with Tech Officers and Scheduler to bring work forward as required
- Quality: Operate equipment and machinery in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and the Kolsen operating procedures.
- Other: Undertake other tasks to support the project or business operations as required. Adhere to the Direction, Competence, Opportunity, and Motivation (D-COM) principles.
Qualifications
Selection Criteria
- Essentials :
- Completed a Parks and Gardens Certificate III, a Landscaping Certificate III, a Greenkeeping Certificate III or equivalent
- Orchre card
- Proven ability to carry out the tasks outlined in the key responsibilities
- Ability to communicate
- Class C Driver’s Licence (manual)
- Ability to work without supervision and as a team member
- Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
- A positive NT Police Security Check Report
- Construction White Card
- Desirable :
- Not less than three years’ experience in practical horticulture
- First Aid Certificate
