We are seeking a highly experienced and operationally focused Senior Manager or General Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of our nursing agency based in Toowoomba, QLD 4350. This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader with a clinical background and 8–10 years of industry experience who thrives in fast‑paced environments and is passionate about delivering high‑quality healthcare services through strong operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide direct operational leadership across all aspects of the nursing agency, ensuring efficient service delivery and workforce management.
* Lead and manage daily clinical and administrative operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
* Manage and optimise staffing, workforce planning and talent acquisition to meet client needs.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, hospitals, aged care facilities and key stakeholders.
* Drive business growth through client engagement, service expansion and operational efficiencies.
* Ensure high standards of patient care, staff performance and customer satisfaction.
* Monitor financial performance, budgeting and cost management to achieve sustainability and profitability.
* Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability and continuous improvement.
* Implement quality assurance and risk management strategies to maintain a safe and effective service.
Key Selection Criteria
* Minimum 8–10 years of experience in the healthcare or nursing agency industry, with senior leadership experience.
* Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in the Australian healthcare sector.
* Proven ability to manage operations, workforce planning and service delivery in a fast‑paced environment.
* Demonstrated experience in financial management, budgeting and business growth strategies.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to drive continuous improvement, innovation, and strategic initiatives.
* Experience working in a regional or rural healthcare setting (highly desirable).
