We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced journalist or communication professional to join our multi-skilled Corporate Relations team, based in Townsville, North Queensland.
We're seeking a Media and Communication Officer with excellent writing skills, high professional standards and demonstrated runs on the board.
In this position, you'll play a key role in creating and coordinating content for Australia's largest sugar manufacturer and a leading supplier of renewables.
You will carry out a wide range of media and communication functions – from strategic media engagement to stakeholder newsletters, internal communication and digital advertising campaigns.
You will travel to our Queensland sites, work closely with senior managers and build relationships with great people across our business.
This position needs a high degree of skill and autonomy. If you're a brilliant content creator who can pitch a message to different audiences, we want you on our team.

The ideal candidate will:
Have excellent writing skills
Possess strong interpersonal communication and interviewing skills
Be able to distil and communicate complex and/or sensitive topics to different audiences.
Qualifications / experience
Degree or higher certificate in Journalism, Professional Writing, Communication, Marketing Communication or Public Relations.
Demonstrated experience in journalism, media relations or corporate communication.
Digital communication skills
Photography and video production skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications
Queensland "C" class driver's licence
