Senior Asset Management Specialist
Location: Sydney, Australia
Overview
To assess complex opportunities for internal and external clients where parameters are not well defined, determine solutions without precedent, and deliver Advisory services. The role may also include managing projects and coaching others.
Responsibilities
* Perform technical assessments and provide specialist advice for service delivery within budget and contractual requirements.
* Produce deliverables in appropriate formats and review other employees' work as requested.
* Discuss and present deliverables with senior internal/external clients and suggest alternative solutions.
* Provide technical support within defined area of expertise to ensure consistency of interpretation and application to service delivery processes.
* Manage technical knowledge within remit to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
* Monitor and update technical knowledge, review complaints, and provide feedback to support professional development.
* Contribute to formulation of local strategies and business plans, driving improvements in business processes to ensure effectiveness.
* Assess and recommend time/value of work to be undertaken for a client within fee/cost structure and commercial aspects of the contract.
* Support commercial functions with enquiries and technical requirements.
* Pursue Continuous Professional Development and maintain discipline knowledge and awareness.
* Mentor and coach other technical employees for effective knowledge transfer and application.
* Undertake project management where applicable, including monitoring progress and spend against budget and contract requirements.
* Undertake administrative tasks as required in line with current processes and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree or equivalent from a tertiary institution in engineering or physical science (minimum 3 years of study).
* Membership of an appropriate professional institution.
* Working toward achieving Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status.
* Substantial previous technical leadership experience demonstrating comprehensive understanding of specialist requirements.
* In‐depth experience in Asset Management for Maritime and Energies space.
* Experience in Reliability, Maintenance and Integrity service delivery.
* Customer‐focused, proactive, highly motivated to support clients, meeting deadlines and updating them on progress.
* Strong team‐working and interpersonal skills.
* Good communication and influencing skills.
* Proficiency in English with ability to produce comprehensive and detailed written reports.
* Project management experience (desirable).
* Functional Safety Qualification (desirable).
* Knowledge of MAROS Software (desirable).
* Familiarity with CMMS and IMDS packages (desirable).
