About the job
The Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of an efficient, accurate and timely fortnightly payroll service for 600 + employees. This position supports the People & Capability team in all payroll areas including employee entitlements and maintenance and ongoing improvement of the payroll system, processes and procedures, and works closely with the Finance & Corporate Services team for accurate reporting.
About you
To be successful in this position, you will be customer service focussed, IT-savvy, enjoy working collaboratively as a broader team and take pride in delivering an accurate and timely payroll service.
You will have:
* Previous experience leading a payroll service.
* Previous experience with payroll software packages (experience using Dayforce is a competitive advantage)
* Strong problem-solving ability and numerical skills.
* Strong understanding of how pay and entitlement conditions are applied within a payroll software system.
* Good understanding of legislated obligations relating to payroll, tax and superannuation.
* Intermediate computer literacy with Microsoft Office and strong Excel skills.
* Satisfactory completion of a National Police Records Check (arranged by Vasey RSL Care).
* Valid working rights which will be subject to a VEVO check.
