Environmental Energy Services are looking for an Apprentice Electrician (2nd - 4th Year) in the Greater Geelong and Surrounding Suburbs! Solar ☀️ + Battery 🔋 experience preferred but not required! Primary Responsibilities:Assist the licensed electricians with the installation of solar PV and battery storage systemsCarry and prepare tools, materials, and equipment required for daily worksCarefully follow instructions and work under the A-Grades supervision at all times. Ask as many questions as you need if ever unsure on something.Have and openness and willingness to learn! Solar PV Installation Support:Assist with mounting solar panel racking systems on residential and commercial roofsHelp position, lift, and secure solar panels safelyAssist with running and securing DC and AC cabling (conduit, cable tray, roof penetrations)Label cables and components as directedMaintain a clean and safe worksite during and after installationsBattery & Inverter Installation Support:Assist with mounting inverters, batteries, isolators, and switchgearHelp with cable preparation, terminations (under supervision), and equipment positioningAssist with installation of battery enclosures and related hardwareElectrical & Site Duties:Assist with basic electrical tasks appropriate to skill level (e.g. drilling, fixing, conduit work)Perform basic testing and checks under supervisionIdentify and report faults, damaged equipment, or safety hazards to the supervisorSafety & Compliance:Follow all workplace health and safety (WHS) proceduresUse PPE correctly at all times (harnesses, helmets, gloves, etc.)Assist with setting up safe access, fall protection, and site safety controlsMaintain awareness of electrical and working-at-heights risksLearning & Development:Actively learn electrical trade skills related to solar and battery installationsAttend TAFE and complete required apprenticeship training modulesAsk questions and take guidance from senior electriciansDevelop understanding of Australian Standards relevant to solar and electrical workGeneral Duties:Load and unload vehicles and assist with stock managementKeep tools, vehicles, and work areas clean and organisedRepresent EES professionally with our clients
