We are looking for our next Quality Coordinator to join the team at Lagoon st! Work in a great team at a great site!
The Role
Our Lagoon Street site is situated in the Bega Valley Shire and is the original site of Bega Cheese. Located on the beautiful Sapphire coast, far south coast of NSW, Lagoon Street is still producing Australia's favourite cheese products - cheddar cheese, string cheese as well as butter.
Bega Group are seeking a Quality Coordinator to join the team! This role is responsible for coordinating and improving on all activities associated with the quality assurance and control systems including but not limited to laboratory, raw material control, manufacturing process through to final products. This role also offers support to Management and other employees to achieve the objectives and goals of the Quality Department.
This is a permanent, full‐time site‐based Mon‐Fri position.
Responsibilities
* Liaise with production staff and senior management and to ensure any quality problems are addressed.
* Monitoring and sign off of Quality Control verification for processes relating to their areas of responsibility.
* Conduct site audits including regulatory, customer and GMP. Ensure all non‐conformities, corrective and preventative actions arising from internal and external audits are completed on time and to a high standard.
* including equipment and environmental sanitation to ensure that personnel and plant hygiene.
* Product process troubleshooting and standardisation, providing resolution within an adequate time frame to prevent any further on‐going non‐conformances.
About you
* Experience in Quality in a relevant industry such as dairy or food manufacturing
* Degree in Food Science or Engineering desirable
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in food safety and quality assurance management systems, including principles and application of Process Control
* Happy to work autonomously & independently with minimal support from the leadership team
* Intermediate skills in using Quality Management programs (i.e. SAP/M3 or IRIS)
