About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled .NET Developer to join a dynamic digital transformation initiative focused on building a bespoke tax revenue management system. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-value, multi-year ICT program supporting core frontline services.
You'll work closely with a collaborative team including Business Analysts, Developers, and a Technical Lead, reporting directly to the Project Manager. The role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while working in a supportive and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Attend daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and technical workshops.
* Develop high-quality code aligned with project standards.
* Interpret user stories and liaise with BAs to clarify requirements.
* Respond promptly to communications from the Project Manager and Tech Lead.
* Document testing steps in plain English and write unit tests as needed.
* Demonstrate developed code to stakeholders and ensure maintainability.
* Collaborate with business and technical subject matter experts.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proficiency in C# .NET (.NET Core preferred), or Java.
* Strong experience with Visual Studio, SQL Server, and JavaScript frameworks.
* Web development expertise (HTML/CSS/JavaScript/TypeScript, vueJS).
* Familiarity with .NET SPA and ORM frameworks (Entity Framework, Linq2DB).
* Experience with WebAPI, IIS, and Atlassian tools (Bitbucket, Jira, Bamboo).
* Solid understanding of system architecture, database design, and network principles.
* Knowledge of basic security concepts.
Desirable Skills
* Experience with WPF/XAML, SPA, REST/SOAP/MQ services.
* Understanding of Dependency Injection and continuous integration.
* Ability to write and interpret technical documentation.
* Familiarity with VM infrastructure, environment setup, and DNS.
* Strong grasp of layered system architecture and security implementation.

Additional Information
* Ideally you will be living in Darwin, be willing to relocate to Darwin, or work remotely.
