Regional Area Maintenance Manager – Northeast Region

Location: Northeast Region (Whittlesea, Donvale, Ivanhoe, Clifton Hill, Altona)

Employment Type: Full-time

We are now seeking an experienced Regional Area Maintenance Manager to oversee the delivery, coordination and continuous improvement of building maintenance services across multiple TLC sites in the Northeast region.

About the Role

As the Regional Area Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all building maintenance operations across assigned TLC sites. You will lead maintenance staff, manage contractors, coordinate work requests, and ensure all facilities, assets and systems are functioning effectively, efficiently and in line with regulatory compliance requirements.

Additionally, you will support minor projects, refurbishment works, asset replacement programs, and post-completion defect management. This role is key to maintaining safe, operational and high-quality environments for our residents, staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead, support and coordinate maintenance staff and contractors across multiple TLC sites
* Oversee allocation, prioritisation and completion of maintenance tasks via the work request system
* Ensure all building systems—including safety systems—are always operational and compliant
* Conduct regular site inspections and monitor asset condition
* Manage repair works, servicing schedules and asset replacement programs
* Provide maintenance performance and asset reporting to senior leadership
* Support the delivery of minor construction, refurbishment and improvement works
* Ensure safe work practices and full compliance with OHS and all relevant Australian Standards
* Foster a collaborative and service-driven approach with internal and external stakeholders
* Monitor budgets, maintain asset registers and ensure accurate maintenance records
Qualifications & Experience
* Trade or tertiary qualification in Facilities Management, Construction or related field
* Minimum 5 years' experience in building maintenance management
* Experience leading teams and managing contractors
* Aged Care sector experience (highly regarded)
Technical Skills & Competencies
* Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and building-related regulatory requirements
* Understanding of structural, mechanical, electrical, civil and architectural systems
* Ability to manage maintenance operations across multiple sites
* Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, Outlook and industry maintenance systems
Compliance Requirements
* Trade, Construction or other related qualification
* Exceptional customer focus and service approach
* Demonstrated strength in collaboration and continuous improvement
* Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations
* NDIS Check (including police clearance)
* Working with Children Check
* Proof of eligibility to work in Australia
* Current Victorian Drivers Licence
