Employment Conditions: Full Time Contract

Salary: $77,620.52 - $85,279.35

Generous salary packaging: $15,899.94p/a

Professional development incentive: Allowance of $1,500p/a

Reports to: Grants & Contracts Manager

Remote retention allowance: $1,500 after 1 year of service and $3,000 after 2 years' service

Annual remote travel allowance: $1,500 for personal travel after 1 year of service

Annual local Bi‐Lingual allowance: Up to $1,500

Further benefits include: 6 weeks annual leave, personal/carer's leave up to 10 days per year, free general dentistry, Remote Retention Allowance of $750

Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation (AHAC) is a multi-disciplinary organisation which provides primary health care services to the Aboriginal people of Tennant Creek and the surrounding Barkly region. Anyinginyi consists of five different sections—Health Services, Business Services, Public Health Unit, Sports and Recreation, and Piliyintinji‐Ki Stronger Families—which allow a holistic approach to health, ensuring that clients' physical and emotional health and wellbeing is given utmost priority.

Anyinginyi's mission is to be a provider of high quality holistic primary health care services featuring prevention and treatment in the Barkly region in a culturally responsive way.

About The Role

Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation has an exciting opportunity for a full time Grants Officer to join their Nyangirru Piliyi-ngara Kurantta – Business Services Section, based in Tennant Creek. This role is offered on a Full Time basis and reports to the Grants & Contracts Manager.

Responsibilities

* Undertake a broad range of administrative activities and provide quality grants management support to ensure compliance with funding agreements and contracts; identify risk and escalate promptly and appropriately.
* Provide comprehensive information, report analysis and evidence‐based advice to the Grants and Contracts Manager and stakeholders; prepare email correspondence and assist with plans, briefs, reports, and submissions; undertake projects as directed.
* Assist Executive and Program Managers with meeting reporting requirements by providing regular reporting notifications, templates and other support.
* Maintain internal monitoring and reporting compliance tools and assist with developing grants management systems and processes to improve outcomes.
* Proactively monitor and identify grant funding opportunities from government and non‐government agencies aligned with Anyinginyi Health's programs, planning goals and strategies; develop draft proposals and concepts into grant applications in collaboration with the Grants and Contracts Manager and responsible Executive manager.
* Manage security over confidential and sensitive records and information; promote best practice record management of key documents and communications.
* Work collaboratively with funding partners and stakeholders and maintain positive relationships.
* Liaise with Anyinginyi Health's Finance Team for remittance tracking, invoicing and financial reporting.
* Assist the Grants and Contracts Manager with delivering grants education and information sessions to improve grants development, compliance and reporting.
* Comply with all Anyinginyi policies and procedures, including use of approved IT programs for electronic data management.
* Participate in training and development opportunities to increase skills and knowledge and enhance capability within the Grants Team.
* Provide additional support to promote business continuity within the Business Services Section at the position's level classification.

About You

To be considered, you will have considerable experience managing complex and multiple grant terms and conditions for both government and non‐government grants. Your written and verbal communication skills operate at a high level, especially when dealing with diverse stakeholders and agencies relevant to primary healthcare. You have a demonstrated ability to contribute to effective data collection tools and the status of grant performance indicators, and strong analytical and problem‐solving skills for interpreting data and reporting. Understanding of issues pertaining to Aboriginal primary health and respect for traditional practices and current issues that impact the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people is required. Previous experience working in a remote area is highly regarded.

Note: An Ochre Card (NT Working with Children's) and satisfactory national criminal history check are required prior to commencement.

Essential Skills And Experience

* Demonstrated ability to seek both government and non‐government funding opportunities.
* Respect for traditional Aboriginal culture and the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and culturally diverse people.
* Experience in writing and applying for government and non‐government grants.
* Experience managing complex and multiple grant terms and conditions for various funding bodies.
* Experience in financial and narrative reporting and acquitting of grants for various funding bodies.
* High level written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders and agencies relevant to primary health care.
* Knowledge of social and health issues confronting Aboriginal people in the Northern Territory.
* Demonstrated project management experience, including high level time management and attention to detail, and providing quality evidence‐based information and advice.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and manage relationships effectively.
* Minimum Certificate IV in Business Administration or Financial Services or a demonstrated capacity and commitment to obtain the qualification within an agreed timeframe.
