With a diverse and varied caseload, they enjoy utilising their full skill set while working in a spacious, well-equipped hospital, with the additional opportunity to assist the visiting specialist surgeon with advanced procedures. The friendly and professional team is committed to making every animal’s visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide excellent care and support to animals during consultations, surgeries, emergencies and in recovery.
– Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, diagnostic tests, and treatments.
– Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinary team.
– Ensure a high level of animal welfare and comfort during procedures.
– Maintain accurate patient records and assist with client communication.
– Participate in team meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of clinical protocols.
– Educate pet owners about animal health, treatments, and preventative care.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
– Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent.
– Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate approach.
– Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
– Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
– A passion for animal welfare and a commitment to high standards of care.
