About this opportunity
This position provides administration and support services by delivering quality services to stakeholders. The position
incumbent supports the team with data entry, processing correspondence, word processing, report generation, minute
taking, finance and purchasing activities and contributes to coordination of daily team activities.
The position is based in Beaudesert, but you may be required to work from any of Council’s offices (Boonah and
Tamborine Mountain) or facilities within the Scenic Rim.
Additionally, you’ll also …
* Undertake all business support requirements of the department including quality control, data entry, word processing, report generation, minute taking and accounts.
* Perform a range of general administration duties which include collecting and distributing daily mail, registering and maintaining correspondence in Council's document management systems, generating letters, spreadsheets and presentations.
* Contribute to effective and efficient day-to-day activities for the department.
* Engage and work with stakeholders across and external to Council to foster collaboration, continuous
* improvement and ensure good practices toward the delivery of service excellence.
* Maintain confidentiality and quality assurance practices to manage efficient information flow and document approval circulation and to ensure accurate, timely and professional document and data compilation, delivery and storage.

* Demonstrated business support experience and commitment to ensuring the highest standards of confidentiality.
* Demonstrated knowledge of routine administrative practices and procedures.
* Basic knowledge of local government structure, operations and processes.
* Ability to perform assigned tasks independently as well as work in a team environment.
