About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join our friendly family GP practice in Holt. As a casual Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional front-line customer service and administrative support to our patients and healthcare team. This varied and rewarding role is crucial in ensuring the smooth running of our practice.
This casual position operates on weekdays only.
What you'll be doing
* Greeting patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner
* Scheduling appointments and managing the appointment calendar efficiently
* Handling patient enquiries and booking procedures over the phone and in person
* Assisting with patient registration and record-keeping
* Providing administrative support to the managing and clinical team as required
* Maintaining a tidy and organised reception area
* Adhering to all practice policies, procedures and healthcare regulations
What we're looking for
* Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a customer service role within the healthcare industry (Preferred)
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with people from all backgrounds
* Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks
* Proficient in using medical practice management software (Best practice) and standard office applications (highly regarded, but not essential)
* A genuine passion for providing excellent patient care and supporting the clinical team
* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations
