The division provides internal strategic and operational workforce services, whilst also contributing to the broader public safety and integrity through the provision of screening services.Role DetailsThe Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to join our Workforce Development and Integrity Division as Director, Organisational Development and Learning.
This is a unique opportunity to lead strategic workforce initiatives that build capability, foster inclusive leadership, and drive a values-based culture across a large and diverse organisation.Reporting to the Executive Director, Workforce Development and Integrity, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for:Designing and delivering forward-thinking organisational development, leadership, learning, and workforce capability strategies that align with both departmental and whole-of-government priorities.Overseeing critical workforce functions, including recruitment, workforce planning, employment contracts, and governance of the Human Capital Management System (HCMS).
Managing divisional operations including high-volume recruitment campaigns, workforce reporting, and executive support services.Championing diversity, inclusion, and Aboriginal workforce strategies, embedding these principles into talent, leadership, and organisational development programs.What we are looking forDemonstrated experience delivering complex organisational development and workforce strategies in large or government environments.Deep knowledge of learning and development methodologies, digital learning platforms, and leadership development.A track record in managing high-volume recruitment and workforce systems, including contract and vendor oversight.Strong understanding of diversity and inclusion principles, including experience implementing Aboriginal workforce strategies.High-level communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with a collaborative leadership style.Why DHS?
