Step into a Workforce Rostering Officer role where your expertise drives real impact for older South Australians. You'll play a vital role in connecting skilled staff with the people who rely on their care. Your work ensures services run smoothly, efficiently, and always with the client at the centre. Every roster you build contributes to better outcomes for individuals and stronger support for communities. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same—balancing planned schedules with real-time adjustments, solving challenges, and continuously improving how services are delivered. Your ability to think ahead, respond quickly, and collaborate with others will directly impact service quality and workforce experience.
What You'll Do
* Maintain and edit optimised rosters that balance forecasted demand with real-time changes.
* Match customer needs with staff experience, skills and availability.
* Communicate clearly and compassionately with customers, carers, coordinators, and care staff.
* Manage shift coverage for planned/unplanned leave with a solution-focused mindset.
* Keep rostering systems accurate, efficient, and aligned with best-practice care standards.
* Liaise closely with coordinators and nurses to ensure service delivery runs smoothly.
* Respond promptly to rostering queries through a high-volume email inbox.
* Ensure timesheets and records are completed accurately and on time.
What You'll Bring
* Proven rostering experience (essential) ideally within aged care, disability, community or similar.
* Strong communication skills with a genuine customer-first approach.
* Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, especially in fast-moving environments.
* A solid understanding of best-practice rostering, workforce management and optimisation.
* Confidence using rostering systems and digital tools.
* Empathy, professionalism, and the ability to build rapport with diverse people.
* A proactive, adaptable mindset — you move with change rather than resist it.
More To Enjoy
* Salary packaging options, including novated leasing, and savings on health insurance, motor vehicles, opticians, pharmacy and gym memberships.
* Growth opportunities with learning programmes, professional development pathways, and education assistance.
* Employee wellbeing program, a confidential employee assistance programme, chaplaincy services, domestic and family violence support, and more.
* Paid parental leave (including superannuation), personal leave to care for family members and additional unpaid leave for caring responsibilities.
