We're currently looking for an Editor in Chief to join our team.

The Editor In Chief of Mamamia is a strong and dynamic journalist who will determine the daily content direction of Mamamia's written team to achieve agreed goals. The Editor In Chief is responsible for implementing the agreed content strategy and hitting daily, weekly and monthly growth targets. Responsibilities include ensuring the quality, tone and impact of editorial and social content and helping to support and develop a strong team of writers and producers.

**Key responsibilities**
- Ensure our daily content is on brand and in the Mamamia tone with the purpose for building the Mamamia brand and maximising traffic
- Ensure that content represents the variety of readers' interests within Mamamia verticals and that quality is consistently high.
- Lead Social team to
- Build communities across Mamamia platforms to boost engagement
- Optimise all daily content for search engines and manage SEO including the regular education of the editorial team
- Lead Editorial team to
- Create quality content across all MM platforms
- Use data led insights to contribute to the curation of editorial properties
- Execute evergreen strategy
- Build and manage external relationships with writers, content partners and build external profile by representing Mamamia at industry events
- Build relationships with the commercial team to drive greater ideation and support of branded content
- Work with the Product team to oversee successful seeding of editorial content and growth in social referrals.
- Recruitment, training and performance management of editorial senior staff

**About you**
- Media, Journalism or Communications degree or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years experience as a writer/journalist, at least 4 years at a digital publisher
- Experience leading high performing teams in a fast paced environment
- Experience in writing/editing/producing for an online publisher
- Proven ability to drive the development of quality content across various platforms
- Ability to give and receive effective feedback with curiosity and respect
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to adapt a measured approach in a fast-paced environment
- A strong commitment to continuous process improvement, initiatives, and ability to solve problems creatively
- Possess a PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) and wow your clients and co-workers every day
