The Impact of the Role As the Housing Officer, you will manage a portfolio of tenancies and act as the primary point of contact for tenants, supporting them to sustain their housing and navigate challenges. You will deliver tenancy management services that are person-centred and trauma-informed, working collaboratively with tenants, support services and community partners. From managing arrears and disputes to representing the organisation at tribunal, your work will directly influence tenancy stability and long-term outcomes. This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in supporting people to maintain safe housing and build stronger futures. Key Responsibilities Manage tenancies from allocation through to exit, ensuring compliance with policy and legislation Support tenants through challenges, including referrals to appropriate services Monitor arrears, establish repayment plans and manage escalations Represent the organisation at NCAT and manage tenancy disputes Maintain accurate tenancy and property records across systems Conduct inspections and coordinate maintenance in collaboration with asset teams Assess housing applications and eligibility in line with policy requirements Contribute to reporting, continuous improvement and sector engagement About You You are a compassionate and capable housing professional with a strong understanding of tenancy management and a commitment to person-centred practice.
