NQM Gold 2 Pty Ltd is an Australian gold explorer, developer, and producer. Located southwest of Townsville, the Pajingo mine is around 50km from Charters Towers and currently employs around 250 people to run the underground mining, and ore processing operations. Charters Towers is close to Townsville and the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef, and it offers all the facilities that you would expect in a large regional town.
About the role
We currently have an opportunity for a Truck Operator to join our underground mining team at Pajingo. This position has become available due to an internal promotion, reflecting our ongoing focus on recognising talent and offering pathways for growth.
The role is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of ore and waste rock underground, as well as dust suppression using the water truck. You'll be reporting to the Shift Supervisor and working on a lifestyle-friendly 7/7 day/night roster.
This role is ideally suited to someone who is residential in Charters Towers, though DIDO with accommodation may be considered for the right applicant.
What You'll Bring
* Minimum 1 year of underground mining experience
* Competency in truck and water truck operations (AST10029, AST10028 or equivalent)
* Working at heights
* Strong communication skills and safety focus
* Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
