French language teacher - Part-time (10 March - 26 June 2026)

Job Description
French speakers with language teaching experience are invited to deliver a French language course for adult learners in a school setting. You will work part‑time, three days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 0800–1630 with one‑hour meal break.
LOCATION: In‑person, Laverton, Melbourne
DATE: 10 March – 26 June 2026
REMUNERATION: $55 per hour + superannuation
ROLES: French speakers with language teaching experience are invited to deliver a French language course for adult learners in a school setting.
Duties:
- Deliver a French language course based on existing materials, under the supervision of a French senior teacher
- Adapt lesson plans, conduct assessments and other administrative duties
- Review and enhance existing course materials and develop new materials if required
- Create engaging online activities to consolidate learning
Essential Criteria
- Fluent in French
- University‑educated, ideally in education or teaching
- Minimum 3 years’ experience teaching/tutoring English or French to adults
- Experience in translation or interpreting is desirable
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Excellent knowledge of the society, history, culture and politics of France
- Detail‑oriented, skilled, confident, friendly, and deadline‑driven
- International students or working holiday visa holders are welcomed to apply.
