About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Operations / Fleet Manager to lead our hire fleet operations across Western Australia. This role is responsible for optimising fleet performance, driving strong financial outcomes, ensuring safe and compliant operations, and leading a high‐performing, values‐driven team.
Based at Naval Base, you'll oversee operations across three sites—Naval Base, Kalgoorlie, and Karratha—and take end‐to‐end ownership of the hire fleet lifecycle. This includes preparation, maintenance, servicing, refurbishment, and ongoing optimisation. Working closely with Sales, Construction, and National teams, you'll play a key role in maximising asset utilisation, return on investment, and sustainable growth across the region.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop high‐performing teams across multiple sites
* Own the hire fleet's commercial performance, balancing growth and cost control
* Improve fleet utilisation and asset value, ensuring assets are well managed throughout their lifecycle
* Ensure consistent delivery of operational, safety, and quality standards across all locations
* Oversee transport, service calls, and cross hire activities to support smooth operations
* Drive productivity and continuous improvement initiatives
* Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
* Ensure compliance with all safety, governance, and statutory requirements
About You
* Minimum 3 years' experience in middle to senior management roles, ideally within construction, hire, logistics or asset‐intensive operations
* Demonstrated experience with full operational P&L accountability, forecasting and budget management
* Intermediate computer literacy with exposure to scheduling systems
* Strong capability to plan, prioritise and execute work safely, efficiently and to quality standards
* Hands‐on leader able to manage multiple priorities, sites and workstreams simultaneously
* Clear, direct communicator with practical people‐management and performance accountability experience
* Demonstrated ability to drive operational improvement, implement change and deliver results
