 
        
        We are seeking a Specialist Learning Support Teacher for our Berwick Campus to commence in Term 1, 2026 on a full-time, fixed-term contract.

The OneSchool Global Berwick Campus is situated in the small town of Officer. Over the last 10 years, it has grown significantly, now providing students with state-of-the-art, purpose-built learning facilities. About You 
To be considered for this position, you must be a VIT-registered teacher with a strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum and Syllabus, and be willing to embrace contemporary teaching methods and technologies.
You will need to be comfortable stepping away from traditional classroom teaching practices, to embrace modern teaching methods and technologies including video conferencing and online resources.
Essential Experience:
- Expertise in neurodiversity: Demonstrated experience in supporting students with Down Syndrome and broader neurodiverse needs.
- Individualised education planning: Proven ability to develop and implement personalised learning programs, with strong skills in differentiation and adjustment documentation (aligned to NCCD).
- Collaboration: Capacity to work closely with classroom teachers, families, allied health professionals, and support staff to create a consistent approach.
- Behaviour and engagement strategies: Familiarity with trauma-informed practice, PBS (Positive Behaviour Support), and approaches like “Kids Do Well If They Can” (Ross Greene).
- Communication supports: Understanding of AAC, visuals, and strategies for supporting expressive/receptive language.
- Leadership within support: Ability to mentor, coordinate, and upskill colleagues in inclusive practice.
- Personal care and dignity: Ability to provide respectful support with toileting and hygiene needs, following student care plans, maintaining confidentiality, and upholding the student’s dignity at all times.
