Key Responsibilities

* Conduct tests of mechanical systems at our Yennora site and acetylene plant.
* Assemble and install new and modified mechanical assemblies under supervision of Mechanical Engineers.
* Draft plans and designs for mechanical engineering work under the supervision of Mechanical Engineers.
* Estimate all material costs and quantities for projects and procure tools and equipment required.
* Conduct inspection and maintenance of machines and plant ensuring that designs and finished work are within specifications and regulations.

* Ensuring all planned maintenance activities are completed safely & in full compliance with the site's Safe Work Procedures.

* Planning maintenance resourcing requirements for planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
* Ensuring the site's CMMS system and preventive maintenance system is maintained and continuously improved.
* Management of all site maintenance stores and critical spare parts.
* Ensure all preventive and corrective maintenance activities are planned and executed correctly and on time.
* Coordinate ongoing review and improvement of maintenance activities – in terms of safety, quality and cost.
* Co-ordinate, support, and contribute to all continuous improvement activities including 5s activities, root cause analyses into unplanned stoppages, and equipment failures.

The remuneration will be between $46 to $52 per hour + superannuation.

Candidates are required to hold relevant trade qualifications and at least 3+ years of experience performing Mechanical Engineering Technician duties within the gas or similar industry.
