In this role, you will not just write documentation; you will build the "Single Source of Truth" that mitigates risk, improves audit readiness, and ensures project continuity.

* Framework Creation: Establish a unified documentation framework and entry point in Confluence.
* Standardisation: Design and mandate templates for Business Requirements, Technical Specifications, and API designs to ensure consistency.
* Compliance: Organise and maintain the Concession Library to meet strict compliance and audit obligations.
* Version Control: Implement review processes and versioning to eliminate "legacy blind spots" and ensure changes are tracked.
* User Enablement: Create system‑centric documentation that enables faster onboarding, clearer handovers, and reduced delivery risk for project teams.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must be comfortable navigating ambiguity and have the authority to implement governance across technical and non‑technical teams.
* Experience: Proven experience in technical writing for software, systems, or data platforms.
* Tooling: Strong familiarity with documentation tools, specifically Confluence, Markdown, Git, and CMS platforms.
* Government Standards: Understanding of NSW Government style guides, accessibility standards, and governance requirements is mandatory.
* Communication: Exceptional written skills with the ability to simplify complex technical and regulatory concepts for diverse audiences.
* Collaboration: A collaborative spirit with the ability to extract information from technical stakeholders and govern external supplier documentation.
