We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, blending IT Sourcing, Contract Management, Supplier Management and Relationship Management.
About the Role
This permanent role comes with a hybrid work arrangement (3 days in the office), where you will be part of a collaborative, close-knit team reporting to the Group Manager Strategic Sourcing.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Leading procurement teams; managing tender, evaluation and acquisition processes.
* Negotiating with potential partners and suppliers, developing acceptance criteria and procedures.
* Developing strategies to address underperformance and compliance failures, including the application of contract terms.
* Negotiating variations and seeking appropriate authorisation.
* Providing specialist advice to those accountable for governance to correct compliance issues.
* Negotiating contracts in accordance with Downer policy.
What You Will Bring
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Demonstrated 5+ years' work experience in Category Management, Supply Chain, Vendor Management or Procurement, including all aspects of strategic sourcing.
* Experience of successfully conducting a range of negotiations across a variety of IT categories.
* Solid working knowledge of current IT technologies, total lifecycle cost structures and pricing mechanisms.
* Well-developed contract review and legal negotiation skills.
* Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers, and contractors providing a broad spectrum of IT products and services.
* Demonstrated experience working with Tier 1 ICT suppliers such as TCS, DXC, IBM, Telstra, Microsoft, Oracle and SAP
