Responsibilities
* Lead significant urban development and statutory planning projects, ensuring compliance with the Victorian Planning Provisions (VPP) and local planning schemes.
* Drive project planning, coordination, and delivery across diverse residential, commercial, and precinct projects, focusing on stakeholder satisfaction and best-practice outcomes.
* Manage complex client and stakeholder relationships, providing high-quality strategic and statutory planning advice to government, developers, and industry partners.
* Mentor and supervise project teams, delegating tasks, reviewing deliverables, and upholding standards of quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
* Employ contemporary planning and design software to produce robust reports, development applications, and planning scheme amendments.
* Participate in business development—expanding professional networks and identifying new project opportunities within the Melbourne market.
* Contribute to technical excellence, regulatory compliance, ESG principles, risk management, and the integration of urban design best practices.

Skills Required
* Degree in Planning, Urban Design, or a related discipline.
* Minimum of 5–8 years' experience in Victorian urban planning (consulting or government).
* Expert knowledge of the Victorian planning system, VPP, local policy frameworks, and statutory requirements.
* Proven ability to deliver end-to-end planning projects statutory, strategic, or infrastructure-based within deadlines and budgets.
* Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills; able to present robust planning advice and documentation.
* Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience.
* Advanced stakeholder and client engagement skills.
* Proficiency in relevant planning and design software (e.g., GIS tools).
* Creative problem-solving, adaptability, and a quality-focus.
* Commitment to regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, and client satisfaction.
