Responsibilities
* Taking orders from our guests, advising of today's specials and upselling promotional products.
* Understanding the seasonal menu and current promotional items, including wine, beer, cocktails and food offerings.
* Striving to make every meal truly memorable by serving up high standards with a smile.
* Liaising with the kitchen team for any dietary and special requests.
* Working across the restaurant, bar, room service and conference and events spaces.
* Handling guest enquiries with knowledge and confidence.
* Handling cash and credit card transactions across the restaurant and bar.
Qualifications
* Experience within a busy hotel restaurant or a la carte restaurant is essential.
* The strength to lift, push and pull heavy objects up to 23 kg, including bending and kneeling.
* The flexibility to work weeknight shifts from 5 pm onwards and weekends in our dinner service.
* Hold a current RSA certificate.
* Ability to work in a team and a fast‐paced environment, supporting the team through the shift.
* Great communication skills – warm, welcoming and easy to talk to.
* Hold a current visa with working rights.
