About The Role

At the City of Melbourne, we put people, families and community at the heart of everything we do. Our vision is for Melbourne to remain a city for all – liveable, healthy and vibrant – where services respond to the needs of our diverse and growing population.

As part of our Children's Services, we deliver high-quality childcare, parenting and family support programs, immunisation, maternal and child health services, youth services and services for older people. We pride ourselves on ensuring every community member can access the support they need.

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Qualified Early Childhood Educator (Diploma) to join our team.

From Monday to Thursday, the educator will work across rooms to provide break relief and additional support to educators, helping to maintain ratios, continuity of care, and positive learning environments for children.

On Fridays, the role will involve a full day placement in the Younger Infants Room, supporting the room team by relieving a qualified educator to allow for planning time and their scheduled RDO. On this day, the educator will build strong relationships with infants and contribute meaningfully to daily routines and experiences within the room.

This position plays an important role in supporting both educators and children across the service, ensuring consistent, high quality care throughout the week.
