The Role
Reporting into the General Manager, this is a classic all-rounder role. Ideal for someone who enjoys end-to-end financial control and is ready to roll up their sleeves in a hands-on environment.
Key Duties Include
* Full ownership of month-end process including journals, accruals, prepayments, GL and P&L
* Preparation and lodgement of BAS, Payroll Tax, and WorkCover
* Oversee and process weekly payroll using ADP, including new starters, terminations and wage increases
* Reconciliation of bank accounts, superannuation contributions, and credit card expenses
* Prepare monthly financial reports, cash flow, and assist with budgeting
* Supervise and support junior finance staff (AP/AR)
* Liaise with ATO and external tax agents as needed
* Present financials to senior leadership and contribute to operational decision-making
* Play a key role in process improvement initiatives
About You
You’re a Financial Accountant with experience in SMEs or national private businesses, who thrives in hands-on roles where you can take ownership and make a difference. You’re comfortable navigating manual processes but excited by the opportunity to help automate and uplift.
The Successful Candidate Will Have
* Previous use of Microsoft Dynamics BC
* A degree in Accounting or Finance is essential. CPA/ CA is preferred.
* Demonstrated experience supervising others and effectively managing stakeholder relationships across all levels of the business
