About the role
Sunnybank Private Hospital is currently seeking experienced CSSD Technicians to join our dynamic perioperative team on a part-time basis.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Decontamination / Thermal disinfection, inspection, packaging, and sterilisation of all instrumentation for theatre and external clinical areas
2. Reprocessing of endoscopes within our endoscopy cleaning gallery as required
3. Comply with AS/NZ standards 5369 2024, and GENCA Guidelines
4. Operate, interpret, and document all machinery operational requirements
5. Report and document all quality activities
6. Ensure priority of instrumentation and processes
7. Prior recent experience working with a Central Sterilising Services Department – preferred
8. Sound knowledge of AS/NZ 5369 (2024) (formerly AS/NZ 4187 (2014))
9. Sound knowledge of GENCA & GENSA guidelines
10. Demonstrated knowledge of surgical/medical instrumentation and equipment
11. Experience with tracking systems - desirable
12. Endoscopy reprocessing experience or willingness to learn
13. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
14. Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and time management
15. A positive attitude and exceptional customer service skills
16. Intermediate computer literacy skills, including MS Office and various databases
17. An interest in promoting best practice patient care
18. A focus on professional development
